After namin manggaling dun sa Bolinao (and mabisita yung resort mismo), we can now give you guys a good idea of what to expect of the place:
1) Location - the place is very remote. The nearest convenience store is about 10 kilometers away, sa Bolinao town proper mismo. They do have an ice dealer situated paglagpas lang ng arko ng Brgy. Patar, around 1-2 kilometers away, and the good news is, they do deliver ice anywhere sa Patar. One more thing about the place, malapit sila sa Patar Lighthouse, walking distance from the resort entrance.
2) House - quite nice, with 4 rooms, all with toilet/bathrooms. 3 of the rooms are airconditioned, with 2 double beds. We do have to ask the caretaker if they can provide additional mattresses para ma-maximize natin ang sleeping space. the 4th room is a kitchen/dining area, equipped with a refrigerator, a gas stove, and a dining table (pwede pang-serve ng meals).
3) Facilities - they have a BBQ grill, plus 2 nipa huts na pede tambayan. They also have I think 2 cottages dun sa beach area para pede silungan o kainan. According to the caretaker, pede mag-bonfire dun sa grounds or sa beach mismo.
4) Beach - may white sandy area sya na elevated, di inaabot ng tubig. To get to the beach itself, bababa ka sa batuhan. The rocks are quite sharp so be extra careful going down the beach. Although the beachfront itself is rocky, the water is crystal clear. You can walk along the rocky beach to get to the sandy area sa left side nung resort though, to enjoy the fine coral sands. Another thing is, they have these natural rock formations along the beach, and a small, elevated crevice at the right side, pede ring tambayan.
After visiting the place, may mga bagong issues din tayo na kelangang i-address, specifically with regard to logistics. Since the place is quite far, the most convenient way to get there would be to drive. Unfortunately, we are rather short of both drivers and vehicles, so we're going to start a car call - baka kasi may mga sasama na marunong namang mag-drive pero walang sasakyan, at merong mga may ssakyan pero hindi marunong mag-drive. Kung sino ang willing mag-drive for 5-6 hours, libre na sila sa transpo expenses (which include gas and toll fees). Kindly inform us ASAP kung willing kayo mag-drive, or kung may sasakyan kayo na pwedeng ma-arkila ng PPF. Syempre, babayaran natin ang arkila sa sasakyan, as per their preference (either a full tank of gas or cash), since dadagdag tayo sa mileage. Right now, we're looking at around 17 people who will attend, so at least 2 sasakyan ang kailangan. Kung meron kayong van na willing ipagamit sa PPF or may kakilala kayo na meron, ipaalam nyo lang. Indicate the vehicle type, fuel, and capacity. Yung sasakyan ko, ok naman, so start ako:
Ex. Miffster (driver) - Pajero/SUV, diesel, 5-6 people (including driver)
Plan B would be for all of us to take a bus to Bolinao town, sabay trike pa-Patar. We will contact Victory Liner, Five Star and Dagupan Bus for fare details and schedules. So far this would be the most expensive method of travel (460 per way, plus 100 for trike, around 1k total), pero fair para sa lahat, para hindi hiwalay yung grupo sa papunta dun.
We hope na may willing na magpahiram ng sasakyan, para mas ma-enjoy natin yung outing this year. It's the first time we're going out this far away, so let's make the most out of this year's PPF Outing!
